Joint Impact through Atea Sustainability Focus

About a year ago we launched Atea Sustainability Focus, an initiative designed for and by the most engaged it-buyers, who want to shape the pace and focus of the global it-industry sustainability agenda. We have achieved much in a year – but there is still plenty of work to do together. We count on your engagement in ASF Dialogue and ASF Forum this summer!

Ida’s summer song is echoing from every schoolyard and elderflower is blooming across Stockholm. Early, too early this year, and although I am gladly waiting for my homemade juice to rest and be ready, I can’t help this sobering feeling about our climate´s present and future. Time to go on holiday? Or to use the summer to gather inspiration about what we can do together?

About a year ago we launched Atea Sustainability Focus, an initiative designed for and by the most engaged it-buyers, who want to shape the pace and focus of the global it-industry sustainability agenda.

During the past year, ASF engaged some 500 people who took part in a stakeholders’ dialogue online and through ASF forum in Almedalen – to pinpoint the areas where the it-industry needs to make most urgent progress. Want to make sure your voice is heard this time round? Here is your gateway to Responsibility Street

A Board of sustainability and IT leaders across the Nordic region then analysed the results and discuss the status of industry sustainability work and then provided a set of crisp recommendations around transparency to the Responsible Business Alliance (formerly the EICC).

A few weeks ago I was in Washington, discussing the report with some of the leading sustainability specialists of the IT industry, gathered at the RBA leadership circle. The report was warmly welcome. We spent two days discussing how the industry can collectively deliver impact and crucially, how this impact can be monitored and communicated transparently.

Deborah Albers, Vice president of RBA, will attend ASF Forum on 5-6 July. That is your opportunity to get a juicier update about the reactions to the report and future plans, but also to discuss with your peers how to turn the recommendations into effective procurement requirements. I hope you are already registered! If not, make sure you visit our webpage

We are counting on your help!
