Professor Bill Lucas is Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester. Previously a school leader and the founder of two not for profit educational organisations, Learning through Landscapes and the Campaign for Learning, Bill is a writer, speaker and education reformer.
Bill’s research focuses on understanding those dispositions for learning which help people succeed and flourish in life, how they can be cultivated and how evidenced. Bill is chair of the advisory board of the Global Institute of Creative Thinking, co-chair of the strategic advisory group PISA 2022 Creative Thinking Test, and adviser to the LEGO Foundation, curator of Creativity Exchange and a Commissioner for ICAPE. In 2020, Bill co-founded Rethinking Assessment.
The model of creative thinking developed by Bill and colleagues is now used in more than thirty countries across the world and was the stimulus for a four year study by the OECD. In 2019 Bill co-authored the Durham Commission on Creativity and Education and now facilitates a major intervention project in England, the Creativity Collaboratives.
Bill is a prolific writer. His acclaimed critique of the education system, Educating Ruby: what our children really need to learn, written with Guy Claxton, asks challenging questions about the future of education. Creative Thinking in Schools: a leadership playbook was published in July 2023 to great acclaim.
Faye Ellis is an Brittish educator based in London, but have worked in New York as well. She is currently working at Halcyon International School as a Digital Learning Coach
Donald Clark is Learning Tech Entrepreneur, CEO, Investor, Author, Podcaster, Blogger and Speaker. He has over 37 years experience in online learning, video, games, simulations, semantic, adaptive, chatbot, social media, mobile learning, virtual reality, AI and Metaverse projects. He was CEO and one of the original founders of Epic Group plc, which established itself as the leading company in the UK online learning market, floated on the Stock Market in 1996 and sold in 2005.
Catherine has worked in education for 29 years. She holds a BA in Music Performance and DRSAMD in Advanced Guitar Studies from the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow. For 22 years she taught music in secondary schools and was head of the Expressive Arts Faculty, then depute head teacher at Kelso High School.
For years, Catherine has been a Quality Improvement Officer for education with responsibility for ICT across all 68 schools. Catherine is the strategic education lead for Inspire Learning, the councils 16million pond education transformation program which aims to deliver excellence and equity for all young people.
She is also Director of Operations for Inspire Academy, a new business which places technology at the hart of learning for education, business and strategic projects.
